2009 Production

The Splendor of Christmas 2009 was once again a great way to capture the true meaning of Christmas! Over 5,000 people shared this special experience this year. Even the big snowstorm, that forced a reschedule of our second weekend performances, couldn't keep the joy of the season away. Special thanks to all our guests, especially those who changed their plans to be with us on the Tuesday night "snow date"!

It's become a tradition at Trinity to surprise our audiences with a new and festive script each year with elements added to help make Christmas special.  The Splendor of Christmas 2009 opened with a montage of favorite Christmas films that helped us recall warm memories of Christmases past. This montage then segued into the introduction of our surprise script and cast of characters for the first act.

Over the years, you've seen ELF, Captain Jack Sparrow, Superman, Barbie, the Grinch and even Darth Vadar. This year, characters from the hit animated films Toy Story took the stage! Woody, along with his friends from the movie, figured out the true meaning of Christmas!

As with every year, our second half featured the Biblical story of the birth of Christ. This stunning and inspiring portrayal of the greatest story ever told truly put the holiday season in perspective. Audience members were able to follow Mary and Joseph, the Shepherds, the Wise Men and people from all walks of life as they witnessed the moment when God become man to show His love.

Special thanks goes out to every volunteer that worked so hard to make this year's production a big success. Your dedication and commitment to telling the story of Jesus comes from your heart, and it shows in everything you do!
