THE SPLENDOR OF CHRISTMAS has been joyfully presenting Christmas productions to Baltimore audiences since 1979. This promises to be another fantastic year to ring in the spirit of Christmas for you and your friends and family. After being welcomed onto our campus, the program opens with The Trinity Choir and Christmas Orchestra filling the air with the sounds of Christmas. Nowhere else will you feel more in the season than here with us as we begin this year's musical production.

Each year the audience gets to meet special characters who each take a journey to discover the true meaning of Christmas. For 2011, our central characters are a family made up of people just like you and me...well, maybe. This humorous family is preparing for Christmas as so many of us do; however, their comical personalities begin to get frustrated when everything doesn't go according to "the plan". Dad is decorating the house's exterior to the hilt in order to win the coveted neighborhood prize, while Mom is desperately trying to finish getting ready on Christmas Eve before the extended family, and their craziness, descends for dinner. Thankfully friends from next door drop off a nativity set for our family which gives them a reprieve to discover the heart of Christmas.

And again this year our characters from the first half of the show will narrate us through the second portion of the program. Following intermission you will experience the biblical account of Christ's birth through the eyes of Mary, Joseph, the angels, shepherds and wise men, with all the simplicity and splendor that surrounded that monumental arrival over 2000 years ago.
